About me
A force to be reckoned with, I’ve spent 28 years on the front lines as a paramedic—handling everything from life-or-death emergencies to environmental crises and critical incidents—while also rocking a stint in collegiate teaching. My academic arsenal includes a B.S in Emergency Health, a Masters in Education Technology, a B.A.A.S with a tech focus, and an AAS in Environmental Science and Technology. Raised by a grandpa and father who taught me the art of living with the land, I was molded by a strong, independent mother and inspired by two phenomenal grandmothers—one the region’s first female 911 dispatcher and the other a visionary entrepreneur who fought for abused and neglected children. In short, I blend hands-on experience, academic chops, and a healthy dose of grit to face life head-on, with a dash of humor and a whole lot of heart.
